Designed and manufactured for export purpose. Also available for the Hungarian market since 2005. Made with fixed wooden or underfolding
metal stocks. It has a stamped metal frame.
The left side of the frame has the serial number, the FÉG logo and the legend: "SA 85M CAL. 7,62x39 SEMI AUTOMATIC MADE IN HUNGARY".
As an unusual feature, the sample gun below also had the importer's legend stamped neatly on the receiver originally at the factory, before
finishing. Unfortunately most other weapons import marks are stamped crudely by the importers.
